Vandalism Hits Silverdale Street Bus StopBus shelter glass smashed overnight.

Vandalism appears to have struck the well-used bus stop on Silverdale Street.

This morning, school students and public transport users were met with smashed glass panels piled inside the shelter.

The glass appears to have been forced inward, with large sections collapsed onto the seating area, making the stop unsafe to use.

There did not appear to be any obvious street-facing CCTV covering the stop, so anyone with nearby business cameras or dashcam footage is encouraged to report it to Police and Auckland Transport.

Damage like this is often left unreported, which can delay clean-up and repairs.

In this case, the damage has been logged.

If you spot vandalism at a bus stop or other public transport facility, it can be reported directly to Auckland Transport via their online form.

Reporting helps prioritise repairs, especially at stops used daily by students and commuters.
