If you're a Kiwi citizen or a permanent resident, 18 years or older, and have lived in New Zealand for at least a year in your lifetime, mark your calendar for the upcoming General Election on October 14th.

It's your chance to have your say in shaping the future of our nation.

The Electoral Commission has made it convenient for everyone to vote, with a total of 2600 voting places across the country.

For those overseas or unable to make it in person, overseas voting kicks off on September 27th, and telephone dictation voting opens on the same day.

If you're eager to make your voice heard before the big day, advanced voting starts on October 2nd and continues until October 13th.

On Election Day, October 14th, voting places will be open from 9am to 7pm, ensuring ample time for you to cast your vote.

And remember, the official results will be declared on November 3rd.
