Destination Orewa is celebrating Christmas differently this year, with two colossal events outgrowing the confines of a single day and being split across different dates.

In the past, the Orewa New World Santa Parade and the Surf Sounds concert and fireworks event ran consecutively on the same day. 

However, they are now too big to run on the same day, so they have been separated.

The Orewa New World Santa Parade will be held on Saturday, 25 November; while Surf Sounds has been rescheduled for Saturday, 30 March (Easter weekend), ensuring an electrifying end to the summer season.

Business Association Manager of Destination Orewa, Hellen Wilkins, says, “In this way, we promise two remarkable celebrations that will captivate residents and visitors like never before.”
