Police investigation underway in Beach HavenWoman injured, Police seek information.

A Police investigation is underway following an incident in Beach Haven last night.

A woman was found injured and is currently receiving medical treatment.

Detective Inspector Callum McNeill from Waitematā CIB provided details.

"Three individuals arrived at a property on Sunnyhaven Avenue around 7.30pm," said McNeill.

"An altercation ensued, resulting in the female resident being forced into their vehicle. A firearm was discharged during the incident, prompting multiple reports to Police."

In response to 111 calls, a significant Police presence, including the Eagle helicopter, was deployed.

The vehicle involved was not immediately found, but later in the evening, Police responded to an address on Mackay Drive in Greenhithe.

"We found a woman with injuries at the Greenhithe address, confirming her as the victim from Beach Haven,"

McNeill explained. "She is stable and receiving treatment, although her injuries are unrelated to the firearm discharge."

McNeill commended the community for their prompt reporting and assured residents of ongoing investigation efforts.

"We're speaking to witnesses and taking this matter seriously," he said. "The incident may be alarming, but we urge anyone with information to come forward."

Although the cordon at the Beach Haven address has been lifted, Police presence in the North Shore communities will continue.

"We're asking for cooperation and assistance from the public," McNeill added.

"Anyone with information can contact Police on 105 or anonymously through Crime Stoppers."
