Snackaballs Recall Over Plastic RiskLocal shoppers urged to check snack packs.

Tom & Luke Snackaballs have been recalled after hard plastic was found in some packs.


Households on the Hibiscus Coast who buy these snacks from local supermarkets are being asked to check the date marks on any Tom & Luke Low Carb Snackaballs at home.





Smartfoods Limited has recalled the following 112g pouches:


  • Cookies & Cream: BB: 11 SEP 2026
  • Hazelnut: BB: 03 SEP 2026 and 11 SEP 2026
  • Raspberry: BB: 15 SEP 2026, 11 SEP 2026, and 16 OCT 2026


The products are sold in plastic pouches at selected retail outlets and supermarkets throughout New Zealand and have also been exported to Australia.


No other Tom & Luke products are affected.


People are advised not to eat any of the affected Snackaballs.


Anyone who has eaten them and feels unwell should seek medical advice.


Packs with the listed date marks can be returned to the retailer for a full refund.
