NZTA will close SH1 southbound from Silverdale to Oteha Valley Road overnight Sunday and Monday.

The Silverdale interchange to Oteha Valley Road section will be closed southbound for general maintenance on Sunday, March 1 and Monday, March 2, between 9pm and 5am.

NZTA said signposted detours will be in place.

The following ramps will also be closed:

• Silverdale southbound on-ramp
• Oteha Valley Road southbound off-ramp

NZTA’s recommended detour is via:

• Twin Coast Discovery Highway
• Dairy Flat Highway
• Oteha Valley Road

NZTA also advised a full northbound closure between Oteha Valley Road and Silverdale interchange over the same hours for the SH1 O Mahurangi–Penlink project.
